Meet Sam McKenzie

Hello! My name is Sam McKenzie, a Tulsa native that has always wanted to do better for my community as well as those who are close to me. My goals for the gym and organization I’ve created are to create a welcoming and loving environment where people can come and thrive. HAC originally started in a garage in late 2019, early 2020 when Covid was first firing up and creating a sense of uncertainty in people’s lives. Even through this, I saw an opportunity to grow, thrive, and create something amidst the madness. In the middle of 2020, I decided to leave my current place of employment and dive fully into training with no guarantee it was going to work. What I could guarantee was that I would work the hardest I possibly could to fulfill my dreams. The week after I left I found five more clients the fill the financial void that came with leaving my standard nine-to-five job. I slowly grew enough to get my first brick-and-mortar location which was a warehouse. It wasn’t the prettiest but it did the job and left me room to continue to grow. Five months in, I received a message from a friend that a location on 26th and Memorial was open. I had a two-year lease on the warehouse but was blessed enough that when I spoke with my landlord about the opportunity I was looking at, they allowed me to break my lease with no issues. I then started my new journey a the location we currently reside in today. I have built a wonderful crew of trainers and the community they helped me build is continuously growing every week. I look forward to continuing to grow this gym as a place where everyone is welcome to pursue thier physical and mental health goals that go along side them.
